Teapots huff and puff and strut their stuff. Teacups admire the attributes on display. Males compete with other males to dominate, then proceed to dominate females. But pots beware, your attraction to cups is your Achilles heel that allows them to turn the tables and exert their power over you. Adversaries yet allies. Neither can fulfill its function without the other.
In this work, I cast an amused eye on the power dynamics between the sexes. Simple images address complex issues. The cartoonish pots with their expressive spouts offer a light-hearted critique of a male power mindset. All paintings are acrylic on canvas, 30x30 cm.
